66 Words – Temptation

LISTEN to the message HERE.

MESSAGE NOTES

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. (Matthew 6:13)

Temptation, Tests, Trials = “peirasmos”

13 When tempted, no one should say, “God is tempting me.” For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt anyone; (James 1:13)

My prayer is not that you take them out of the world but that you protect them from the evil one. (John 17:15)

14 but each person is tempted when they are dragged away by their own evil desire and enticed. 15 Then, after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, gives birth to death. (James 1:14-15)

There is a process to temptation and it’s always leading somewhere.
Desire
Deception
Disobedience
Death
