This Sunday @ True North

This Sunday we are kicking off a new series titled “Livin’ on a Prayer”. Yes I am a child of the 80′s (also meaning Sunday is the last time most of you will get to see me before I roll into a new decade!)

Seriously, when was the last time you really got honest with God through prayer? Or when did you last open yourself up to inviting God to move in great and powerful ways? So often the prayers that we offer to God are quite weak and don’t really seem all that life-changing. But how could God move in our lives if we started praying differently? More boldly? More dangerously?

I’m going to be challenging each of us to pray very specific things each week. As a reminder, we are going to be giving out memory verse cards that coincide with each weeks prayer.
Here’s the schedule:
11/15 Search Me
11/22 Break Me
11/29 Use Me

Also, don’t forget that this is the Sunday we are collecting our shoe boxes for Operation Christmas Child. I’ve heard lots of good stories of people who are joining the cause – one small group did an estimated 40 boxes together! My family did ours together at home.
Regardless of how you chose to participate, bring them this Sunday to True North. We will collect them down front of the main theater and have a specific time during the service to pray over them.
